yes, i have gnats. i have been waiting for them. and my sundew apparently enjoyed few of them. not sure where they came from, but i found out what was holding them and get rid of the source, and sensitized the area. 

my failing cutting, last one.. was holding little worms in the cutting. i got rid of that cutting. it was rot and dried anyway. at least my sundew got their nitrogen for the month x) 

They eat healthy young tender roots too.

no idea what they eat, but it fed my CP for the month of july. i took the cutting and soil out. took the humidity bin out and washed it. now it has new cuttings in. i don't mind having them once a month for few days.. lol

they go after organic matter in the soil as well as roots. nasty little buggers.

Ok I think I'm going to take up arms against them now. It's getting annoying to get rid of them. Letting the soil dry out doesn't seem to work as they dig deeper and enter through the bottom drain hols also. Looks like I might have to spray my soil to kill them if they really do eat younger roots. 

i don't know where they are coming from now.. but i see few and my CP are doing their job rather well. hope they are not in the new cuttings. they are going well so far. might be a bad batch of seedling soil.. who knows. after this rooting, i'm moving to different bag.

Stupid gnats. Just hate them period

I had a ton of them.  Tried fly paper for a while, killed hundreds, but they just kept coming.  What work perfect was getting Mosquito Dunks and dropping half of one of the donuts in the watering bucket.  I just leave it in there.  Gnats were gone completely within days.  They are also organic.

yeah... gnats are worthless. hard to see them, and too small to worth catching and eating :)
