Tonight I lost my fig parnter. My mom past tonight after a short and very painfull battle with cancer. She was my parnter in growing trees, she just loved figs until the day she could not eat anymore. I brought them up to the hostipal everyday and she would eat them with me. Frank

Sorry to hear of your loss. My mom struggled for 3 years with cancer before it was her time. At 55 years old. Sometimes the blessing is the short time she had to suffer.

     My sincere condolences. My mother enjoyed her first  meal of fresh figs last night with me and her grandson. Growing things and eating harvest are among those fundamental activities of social life that enrich your life and enriched your mother's. Celebrate your time with her. She will continue to live as you grow and share.
