I pIcked This 10-8-13




and made "Cheese Filled" fresh figs  last night for a lite dinner. Enjoy!




I used a mixture of ten different fig varieties, Gorgonzola Cheese, fresh rosemary, prosciutto di Parma, cracked black pepper extra virgin olive oil. This recipe was taken from the book Fig Heaven by Marie Simmons.

I was served something similar recently. Only instead of prosciutto, they used the gorgonzola plus a small dollop of pesto. That was really good too. :)

Tami, hopefully the torture will come to an end for you next year and you will have more figs than you can consume. Mine
is only an example of what you should be able to grow in your area.
