Case closed got my money back, and an appology its too bad things happened the way they did, allot of buyers on ebay seem to have had a good experience so lets hope the seller learned from their mistakes. I told them they should reply to their customers sooner to avoid all this drama.

Nelson , they refunded your money , also they said they shipped on the 28th so you just might get your cuttings if thats the truth although very late if you do . I understand your frustration and im sure you learned a lesson along with the seller when he recieved negative feedback which buyers look at when considering a purchase. Maybe you will reconsider and take back the negative feedback if you recieve the cuttings since he did refund your money.

all the hoopla from other members and i tend to be the oddball on the forum in this matter but if it were me and i say ME only and i did get my money back and did recieve the cuttings as well i would think about taking back the negative feedback and give a NEUTRAL feedback. Perhaps they may or may not have learned from this.

I did email there website and also send a message thru ebay to them stating i was considering to buy something from them and explained the situation about a Canadian (being you) and told them i was hesitant to buy from them at that point until your case was resolved. But i really dont care for white type figs now i think about it after all its been since my childhood many many seasons back since i last spit 1 out of my mouth .
Good think i remembered so i surely wont be purchaseing any of his cuttings You know what i mean ..   ; )

Martin this story ends with a Twist, Although I had left Negative feedback Ebay told me that I had to remove it due to it being a cancelled auction and that the purchase was done outside of ebay so basically that I was braking their rules " Gotta Love Ebay". With that being said I was not going to leave a Positive feedback since there was nothing positive about that transaction. The last two days we did end up coming to an agreement and they did reply promply so at this point dont really care if those cutting arrive or not I will focus on my other cuttings for the time being.

Glad it turned out good for both, you and the seller. Negative feed back can really hurt a seller. It sure makes a difference in my purchases on e-bay.

Sometimes there are real scammers also on the "receiving" end!

Once or twice, I did jump-the-gun and ship BEFORE payment,
(based on an excellent rating), but then got zilg;
(other than a no-longer-a-registered-user)...

Another time, one person, after buying 2 "cheap" figs, mentioned that
they did-not-make-it, so I send 2 more free replacements (including
ship). Then, he had the "nerve" to claim that they also died!
My response was: " YOU stay away from my figs;  you-fig-KILLER".
I have never heard of him since (a good riddance)...

Gorgi I agree its a two way street. This all started on sept. 15th today is oct. 9th and still didnt get squat. The seller did try and fix things afterwards wich is good. They offered to refund me my money and I could keep the cuttings once they arrive. If they ever do turn up dead or alive hopefully I can see the date it was shipped.

Well its been over a month now and still no cuttings or a letter from customs. I know twice I got stuff from the US that got stuck at customs they send me a letter 2-3 weeks later. I have been checking the mail everyday for 3 weeks now I have finally given up thank god I got my money back, Will go see Adriano this weekend and just get cuttings off him and be done for this year.

The same seller has changed names to the_best_guaranteed - interesting that they changed names.

I saw their cuttings today, and searched here to see if anyone else had experience with this seller.  They are still selling the same cuttings.

Not interested in the cuttings, but the price was good, so I considered it .....

Still to this day I did not receive any cuttings or anything from custums so I doubt very much they ever shipped anything.

For what its worth, I got the cuttings I won on ebay.  Shipping was slower than they advertised.  When the cuttings arrived they got left in the mailbox for the afternoon on a 100 degree day.  When I opened the package, it looked like they were already sprouting.  So far two have clearly rooted and leafed out and the third, while rooted, has no leaves.  I guess I will find out in the next few years if I got the correct varieties.  If not, I won't be too upset since the cuttings were fairly inexpensive and I bid on them thinking they were good learning cuttings.
