I think i messed up

Hey guy,

last week i got some cuttings, i placed them in 50% soil 50% perlite. but before i put them in the cups, i dip the cuttings in "green light" rooting hormone, i took most of it off, just left a very thin layer of powder. should i be ok?

Recommendations from USDA / UC Davis were no hormone, or liquid hormone. Powdered hormone seems to accelerate rotting of the cutting, according to a lot of anecdotal evidence, including experience at USDA.
