just realized how nice it is to just walk out the door and snack right there hanging on the tree that i can just pick and eat. life is good :)

I had a couple this morning ripe, but fried by the sun, so they are fermenting to be seeds.  Maybe something good will come of it!

Spent hours on Jon's site today looking at all the varieties he has.  Planning on a trip down there soon!

The ultimate working in the garden snacks are husk cherries. You can pick and eat them even with dirty hands because they each have their own little natural wrapper. Flea beetles love them though so I gave up growing them, they are really tasty though, sort of like sweet pineapple.

Yeah Bullet thats great, in height of ripening season i bring a plate out with me fill it take pics and sit at patio table and scarf em down.

By the way, I found out, if I put the fig s the fridge for about 30 min before eating, it's even better.

 I agree with you I also like my figs slightly chilled, they don't loose any flavor and taste refreshing.
