I was checking out my trees and noticed Ice Crystal has a few figs on it. There is some debate as to if it is fruitful here without the wasp so I guess I will find out.

Glad it's forming figs, Barry. I still think those leaves look incredible.Mike
Sooo cool . Figs along with those beautiful leaves !!
Looking good Barry.Let's hope it will ripen.
Please post pictures if it ripens .Sure has a long stem holding it and may be a small type fig if it is self pollinating.Keep your toes crossed.
Ice crystal is an afghanistanica variety that will form black black figs. Mine had several figs on it last and dropped, will see if there's any hope with the tree being older. I might try pollinating it by hand.
Cool! I hope they taste great.
Barry, take a look at my earlier post. http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/Ice-Crystal-6046055?highlight=crystal
Here's a picture of my ice crystal, no fruit yet but I'm hopefull that this year it'll happen with it being in the greenhouse.
Bass I remember that post and those pics. I am hopeful that they will ripen and stay on this summer. I think the late season may have had something to do with them falling off. At least that's what I'm hoping.
Any update on these fruiting Ice crystal figs ?
It's a smyrna type.
The fruit fell off of my Ice Crystal. it is forming more but I'm not very hopeful given Bass's report
