ID help please

I just bought this tree and he had it listed as Sicilian Bron(brown). Also a few leaves look like it has some rust on it . I have it separated from my others- is that what it is? Does copper spray work well if so - wait until after fruiting?
Also this fruit could have waited on tree a few + more days to ripen not quite as sweet and juicy as another from same tree. TIA for any info/help.

Hey Pattee!  Any reason you wouldn't believe the ID tag it came with?

Nurseries can and do get tags mixed up.  The leaf and fig both look like Brunswick to me, but so many figs are known as something else.  So many different cultivars, it's very confusing.

Suzi

Hi Suzi , this nurseryman loves his figs , but not being so concerned about names , his likes are for taste alone, doesn't care what the name is.

I mean it could very well be a Sicilian brown . I just wondered if anyone else thought differently.

It may be my hang up as I like names with varieties- something I might have to give up in some figs LOL.

Thanks , Patti

Patti,

NICE PICTURES!!
I think it is a Brunswick.  I just picked some this morning from a Brunswick and the figs and the leaf really looks the same.
