I spoke with a guy at the pool this evening and this variety was brought back from Italy by their parents 15 years ago. Hes given away a few cuttings and these are the resulting trees planted inground Louisville,KY 7a, not on my property. They experienced no dieback this year due to light winter and are loaded with figs, although show signs of dieback previous years when younger. Tree 1 is much larger. Fruit has just begun to ripen. He doesn't know variety.
