so i had gotten a cutting from a house that was vacant and for sale.
about 2 or 3 years ago.
last year, it had 1 fruit and just a few leaves.
 
Any idea as to variety ?

i also have a black mission.
Are these good ? any particular instructions for it ?
it seems to be growing well, but no fruit like this one.
it does seem to be growing a tad slower, and less leaves overall.

Celeste or Southern BT .
Your trees are too shaded.
If you want them to fruit you'll have to either find a sunnier spot or cut some surrounding trees.
Fig trees need sun to show their best.
They can survive in a shadier spot ... but they just survive and won't produce more.
Live and learn: In my garden, I removed 2 peach trees for this very same reason ... Two more peach trees might be goners too (once more crazy Spring took its toll )... I want more sun for the fig trees.
