Igo air layer

Hello everyone! Just want to share another successful air layer. This time it's Igo. I really enjoy air layering - easy, simple, consistent results!

Igo is supposed to be very good. I'm hoping to try fruits from the mother tree this year.

Great variety, great flavor, nice airlayer.

Great work!  Hope you love it.

Good work, I'm attempting my first air layer as we speak. I hope it turns out as good as yours.

Thanks for sharing. Fantastic looking tree

Ryan, those are amazing looking roots! Look ready to go. It is fun to see them growing so well.

Is Igo a common fig ?

nice roots :)

Pauly, from what I understand it is a common fig.

Rob, you should do really well! I heard about your growing skills from Wills.

I hope mine comes out half as good as yours!

Very nice Ryan:)  You are the air layer king.

The roots look like spaghetti!  Good job.

Lol, thanks!

Ryan, looks awesome. Do you scrape the bark, add soil, and wrap?

Wow! The air layer looks perfect, what did you use for soil ?

Jeff, I did take some of the superficial layer off but I have noticed that the majority of the roots in all of my air layers so far are coming out of the untouched parts. So, I am actually going to try air layering without taking off the superficial layer to see what would happen.

Moonlight, thanks! I am using Lambert's Organic Potting Soil from Home Depot for my air layers. I also use those packing plastics filled with air to contain the soil. That's the plastic you see in the first picture.
