The Fig I call "Vashon Violet" is a "Brunswick".
Despite great expectations, the word tonight is BUMMER :(
Due to the rain we had yesterday morning, the shade cloth I put up last Monday to keep the Starlings off it and my "Desert King" tree, picking it a day or two late, or possibly all three reasons, it juiced down last night and was spoiled this evening when I photographed it! (See attached photo).
