I'm a Dad ---- of a micro fig and leaf

I'm a newbie and know I have a long way to go with these cuttings......transferring to larger pots and hardening off outdoors, but this is so cool.  With cuttings from forum members I at least can show some progress.  A micro leaf on a Desrt King and a micro fig (surgery scheduled for tomorrow to remove the fig to spare the future tree) on a TX Everbearing (aka Brown Turkey).  I've posted my method here http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/Rooting-cuttings-provided-to-me-an-update-6089870.  So far the deli containers with perlite/potting soil seem better for me than the damp spaghnum moss/ziploc bag method, but that's just me.  Sorry for the poor photos from my cell phone, guess I'll have to fire up the digital camera.

Steve,
I'm so happy for you and the new arrivals. Their so cute at this stage. and then they take their first step, and then their first word, and before you know it their asking you for the keys to the car, and..........
                         Great Job, Congratulations Dad
                                                 Best Wishes,

Congrats! And thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on your little ones!  If the leaf starts to go dry, you can make a mini-greenhouse to help it retain moisture till the roots are big enough to provide what it needs.  Many first leafs fall off, but come back once the root base is big enough.
