Brent, I think you got it right, no one knows why you're upset. You joined in on our banter and I don't think you have a clue as to what was going on. You've taken this way to serious, but then may there is no humor in your life. I hope you get over what's eating at you and join in the fun of growing and enjoying figs and life.

If there are no babies in the nest I would move it, they will just build another. If there are babies I'd put up with it a couple of weeks til they're gone, then move it.
Robins don't nest here. Mockingbirds are the agressive ones.
I don't have a lot of bird damage here (knock wood). We have several feeders with black sunflower seed and peanutbutter suet and lots of water. Our birds are to lazy and spoiled to bother with figs. 
Grey Squirrels  are another story.
