Improved Celeste and Cat birds damage!

I have a Bush bean size,IC, Fig,THAT STARTED RIPENING FIGS AND i HAD FIRST RIPE ONE 2 DAYS AGO EATEN,
and it had the same hole in it as the one fig you see in the pix today.
I have 15 Grape vines full of most delicious grape ,ripe on them and open this year(no nets),so they can feed and I can feed.
The monster bird is looking for the only ripe fig every time ignoring the Grape.
Does she Know the secret?
That is that this year+ the cultivar(Improved Celeste, not O rourke),produced some of the most flavorfull, swwetest figs possible.
Here are some pix documenting this true fact:

Herman, why is it called, "Improved Celeste"? Is it because it is a earlier ripening Celeste? Or because it taste better then the old Celeste?

Bob

Bob:This cultivar is indeed improved.
It has larger fruits, they never drop, like on the original Celeste, and it has about the same taste and Flavor ,like the original Cleste.
I am thinking in Fact to eliminate(discard),all Celeste I have now, once this prove to me that it can withstand cold and rain, here In NJ.
In Fact I did eliminate(discarded),a good number of fig cultivars yesterday, and here they are from the top ,of my head:
Osborn Prolific, yellow doubtfull cultivar, drops some fruits.
Reverted Panache,6yrs ,no fruits.
Bayernfeige, very ill with bad Fig mosaic virus.
Eve Black Cherry,3 yrs no fruits.
Santa Crus dark,dropping ,main crop.
You see sometimes somoane needs to take a decision, even if it is painfull, because I have so much room, and need it to try other new cultivars, some known some unknown,in order to get some good selection, that works here.
