Improved Celeste-Main Crop

Improved Celeste, main crop. I waited almost 4 days since they turned color before picking (and devouring). I think they would have lasted another day on the tree, but no matter. They were good, sweet and sugary. I still prefer berry flavors in a fig. But nice to have main crop in July. I did cheat with about a month in the greenhouse in April.

Hi Rafael,
Looks really nice, very intriguing variety. Must be nice eating figs in July

Nice looking figs!
How do you do it getting ripe fichi in July!  Mind you N.Y. is warmer than Niagara.

Pino

This is an early ripener, you should get one. Also, as stated, a little early start in greenhouse. I won't be putting this variety in greenhouse in future as it will be too crowded there and this ripens early anyway.

Looks great, a main crop in July. I look forward to my new cuttings getting to fruition.

Nice looking fig

Yes ,in deed an early ripening cultivar.
I also had ripe fruits on August 1 ,from my in ground fig here in NJ.

Awesome looking fig Rafael. It really looks like a very much improved Celeste! Where did that tree come from? Any info would be much appreciated!
