A family member in Ohio just bought a nice piece of property.
Talking to them, they have a in ground fig tree that obviously lives through
zone 5 winters.
I will be getting pictures of leaf pattern and we as a group can see if we can identify
the variety. I sent this same person a rooted fig 2 years ago and they have great
interest in figs. Beings they appreciated the fig i sent them, they offered me
all the cuttings I want this fall/winter.
Hopefully I can help those in colder zones with a fig that can survive in
zone 5 and above.
I will send them instructions to get a air layer for me to start with in a few weeks.
I'm excited to get a fig that seems to have thrived in Ohio winters.
Will keep ya all posted on progress of this tree.
