I guess it needed all those roots since they were sitting in the open, baking sun all day. That is one tough little fig three!

I wonder if you can SQUEEEEEZE those roots into a 5 gallon pot?

I bet a 100 gallon would even be too small.

I've been trying to root figs the wrong way all along!  I should just throw them up on my roof and watch them take off!

Ya gotta love plants!

My guess is those roots were sandwiched between or covered with a layer of some sort of roofing or sheeting to allow them to spread like that.
