Inquire about the seller on ebay

Exactly my point.

"I spoke With Liza who is running Edens Grove, she claims that she ships to the USA regularly wihtout issue, is she gasing me up? I guess I'll find out if it's 93 or unleaded."

I've swapped email with two people here in California who have bought from Edens Grove. The plants arrived in good condition and the people who bought them are very happy with their trees. How long they get to keep them is another matter, if "Big Brother" really does monitor the sales on eBay. So many of the eBay sellers and nurseries in America refuse to sell to people in California, so I can sympathize with the people who find buying from foreign countries their only option for growing certain outstanding varieties.

You do not even need "Big Brother"- many concerned citizens, who will watch eBay and report to appropriate authority.

And probably  monitor this forum too.

I got  quiet a few emails and PM after I posted that I know who is buying figs from oversees.

But again, I can understand- to bring a nasty decease or bag to USA just because you want this fig badly....
Not an easy decision to make....

Hi Gordenia
It is a very easy decision. Don't consider any plant material from out of the country.
I had a visit from the authorities when I won an auction and then cancelled it and never went through with it. I didn't see that it was from out of the country in his auction
There is a topic I started with that experience here.
No biggie, let it go

You can get most of her varieties here in the US. You just need to ask around.
