I am new member on this forum so first of all I apologies if I accidentally break the rules of the forum. I am from Croatia and am fig trees fan. I would like to know if anybody is interested to send me some fig tree cuttings of different varieties. As I said, I come from Croatia and practicaly the only fig variety that we have is so called Zamorcica or Tenica fig. If someone could send me some different varieties in return I could send practically unlimited number of Zamorcica fig cuttings. Zamorcica has golden colour, red inside, very sweet, great fresh and dried. Also, I could send you a one year planted Zamorcica tree in black bag for free, but posting expenses would be yours. Bags with fig trees are heavy about 10kg. Please find attached photos of one year Zamorcica fig in black bags.

Greetings and welcome to the forum. If you search on the forum for "Croatian Figs", you will find links not only to to the information that has been accrued from past posts about croatian fig varieties but also that search would identify other members that are living in croatia and the Dalmatian coast as well as European Union members. It would be far easier for you to acquire and exchange varieties from local Croatian and EU members than trying to do so from and with the US since department of agriculture  laws governing plant import and export are fairly problematic... 

BTW... where in Croatia do you reside? I myself was born in Krk on Otok krk many years ago...

Hi, thanks for advices. I would like to plant some hardy fig varieties which are more cold resistant. I live in Ploče hinterland (Dalmatia, Du - ne county). Thats about 300 km SE of Krk.

Welcome to the forum,I do t have anything to exchange this season but might next year.If you sell the figs bare root when they are dormant that would greatly reduce postage within Europe

I won' sell them, I would like to exchange them for some other fig variety. If someone has fig cuttings for exchange it would be great. Also, if someone wants fresh fig cuttings of Zamorcica I can send them for free.
