Interesting discussion about parafilm

I used both and prefer parafilm. Polyethylene sticks together when using it. Good read thanks.

Thanks for the read. I've used wax and parafilm, but like the new Buddy Tape version of parafilm best. It stretches around and even makes a nice seal over the top of a cutting. The new buds break through it without too much problem. The advertisement says it lets the cuttings "breath" somehow. Most of my cuttings seem to be rooting well with it. There are 571 three inch strips on the roll, which should last for a while. Each segment stretchs to cover even larger cuttings.

Did you get a perforated or non?
Which one would you prefer?

I bought mine on Amazon also from A.M. Leonard (after reading about it on this forum). I didn't know it was perforated. It took some adjusting after working with regular parafilm, but now I much prefer the perforations. No fumbling with scissors and a roll. The tape stretches to 8xs its length, sticks to itself, tears off where I want it to stop, and makes a tight seal.
The only problem I've had is that I enjoy misting my cuttings often during the day. One of the cuttings became too consistently wet and developed a fungus infection under the tape, which quickly spread over the whole twig before I caught it. It probably would have happened without the tape, but I've had to cut back a lot on misting since it's not needed and can even be harmful.

that is all high tech for me.
ive used electrical tape for years with 100% succes rate. (plums pears apples...and so on.)
just have not done many fig grafts, but i see no reason it should be any different.

Parafilm professional florist wrap использовать для прививки инжир, хурма, вишня первый сезон. Выводы будем делать позже.
