I have collected over 120 fig trees and don't say that much. I pretty much stay in a confused state of mind about figs, but love them enough to persist! Lets hear from all of the closet fig lovers!

120 fig trees seems like a substantial collection, at least to me, as a newly emerging fig grower!
Glad you came out and posted :)  Although just lurking and reading is fine, I'm sure that others would benefit from what you've learned and could share,

Hi grant441,
No problem with that.
120 trees ? How old are they ?
Are you already having good harvests ?

Same. I kinda have only done reviews of figs I've either come across or grown.
I'm not a pro gardener or even that much of a hobbyist, so I don't really feel like I have a ton to say. I just love fruit and growing trees gives me variety.

Still grateful for everyone who puts forth info for folks like me.

Porfirio

I have 30 cultivars outside in pots doing extremely well and another 15 cultivars rooting now. I absolutely love figs! My wife thinks I am becoming a bit obsessed.

I have a fig addiction for sure, but at least my money is going into something good for me.I will go 5 months without even thinking about them and then i go on this site and start wanting!I get a rush bidding on figs and hunting for local trees.I slow down when i spend too much money then i get obsessed with other fruit trees, pears persimmons, plums, apples and cactus.I have to fill up my 20 acres!I am a hard head and don't pay attention to zone restrictions,Kept an olive tree alive for 3 years outside for three years in 7b.Found a grapefruit that will grow in my climate called a dunstan grapefruit! There is so much out there we don't know about and i want to find it!

I'm in FL near Tampa so the weather is generally good for tropical plants. I also have lots of fruit trees other than figs.

3 Sapodillas, 1 lychee, 2 blue berries, 1 pomegranate, 5 sugar apples, 2 atemoyas, 1 cherimoya, 1 mango, 2 guavas, 3 jackfruits, 1 papaya, 2 starfruits, 2 navel oranges, 1 peach, and 1 nectarine.

Nice collection. I'm jealous. I was recently sent some papaya seeds but became overwhelmed when I realized I would need to find a place to plant all seeds and hope for an intersex tree. My yard is only 20'×60' and I'm a renter so I need everything in pots. My large fig tree just happened to come with the property (and if I ever leave I am taking cuttings with me). Planted a blueberry bush a couple of months ago. Have some dragon fruit cuttings I've been waiting to root. Avocado cuttings too. Passion fruit vines. Trying to start a variety of peppers from seeds. This gardening passion is new for me and I'm very excited and having a lot of fun
