I've been real busy with the spring garden and yard work these last two week and haven't been able but to read a few post and comment while at work. This evening I grabbed a pad and pencil and went through all of my trees. I haven't totaled up numbers yet but about 80 percent of my trees have leaves on them. My LSU Gold has some brebas as does Jason's McCauley Green.
Just last weekend leaves were just beginning to open. Here it is a week later and WOW, almost all of them are showing green. I'ts amazing how what looked like a bunch of dried sticks can transform them selves so quickly. It been so warm here seems like summer wants to kick in. Seems like I lost a couple to those freezes we had a while back but I'm lucky that I have backups for those. It looks like I'm off to a good start, now I just can't wait for the first fig of the season. I feel for you guys that are still facing snow.
