Hello All,

Hope everyone is safe If your on the east coast.I had to pull up some pots that i have partially buried with roots coming out from the side, the
trees were being whipped around like rope.My question is how much damage have I done to my poor figgies,I felt like the alternative of leaving them would be worse.

Stay Safe

George, I've moved containers with roots going into the ground with little ill effect.  You may need to adjust your watering schedule a bit to make up for the loss of the roots going into the ground.

I too have pulled up pots with roots growing into the ground, last year.  I saw no ill effects by doing that.

I just put my trees into the cellar yesterday for the storm, and had some small roots that tore off, when I moved them.  I don't expect it will make any difference to them.

Good luck.
