Iron Chef America - fig edition

I don't suppose anyone else caught Iron Chef America last night, where figs were the secret ingredient?  They had a large variety - fresh Brown turkey, fresh Calimyrna, fresh Sierra, fresh Black Mission, dried Black Mission, dried Calimyrna.

In the midst of watching it right now - very interesting to see this on TV, watching people slice up figs and cook with them.

Oh darn it i missed that and would have like to see it.
Last year there was an italian lady when i was channel surfing on cable doing some coooking with figs, when i got to channel there was credits playing and i went to see other show times feature and there were no more.
Oh well one day i can catch one of them shows i hope.
Least there was a heads up last season on the one called "African Queen" i think or something similar and it was just great to watch as the graphics were shown inside a fig being pollinated by the fig wasp amazing it was.

Yep - I have the "Queen of Trees" Nature episode burned to DVD.  It was probably one of the most breathtaking nature documentaries I've ever seen.

I dunno about the iron chef stuff, though.  It was fun to watch, but both of them seemed confused.  I would have liked Morimoto's first dish more than any other.

Yikes, just missed it. Brother in law told me about it when it was just ending. My loss.
