Is it really Petit Negri?

I bought a Petit Negri from Raintree Nursery last year and although it has not produced any figs yet it is growing very well and looks like I will see figs next year. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this tree from Raintree and if it is really Petit Negri.
Thanks.
Susan

I had one from Parks Seed (I think) years ago, and it stayed small. The one I have from Raintree is definitely not "petite".

Violette de Bordeaux, Negronne. Petit Negri, Beer's Black, Vista Black Mission, etc. are often interchanged, so it could probably actually be any of those, which are all the same, closely related or similar and quite good.

Do you all have any LEAF PHOTO's?
My fruits do not look like Negronne per Jon's *Fig Varieties.*
I've got a couple dozen of these PN growing & they are doing real well!
IF that is in fact what they are.

Sorry - I don't have any way to post photos right now, but the leaves have very long finger like lobes. My tree is 4 ft tall, 2nd year, in a pot.

PT:
yes, *long finger-like* --that sounds like mine.
Will post a photo so's Jon can weigh in.
Thanks.

hopefully you'll be able to parse the leaf form from one of these images!

Doesn't look like a classic VdB or Negronne leaf.

Well, each leaf looks a little different on my little tree. Some of the leaves look just like the leaf that you posted, Jon. But on some of the leaves the lobes are longer and narrower. And although I don't see any of the discoloration that I would expect with mosaic virus, some of the leaves have that funny kind of distortion that you often see with virus or with varigation on plants.
