Is it too early?

I was wondering if it is a little too early to keep my fig trees out? I had to bring them out of the shed that they were in because they needed water and couldn't get to the ones in the back, I live in Southern connecticut and was wondering if it was safe to leave them out yet?

I would be more worried about the heat wave that is coming through. Are they used to sunlight yet? Frost danger is probably over, the soil temperatures are so warm already. You might have to drag them back in one more time though : (

You should be safe, Dave. I moved all mine out on Friday. (second time). The weather forcast from Westchester County Airport, just up the road a few miles from me is usually pretty accurate. The lowest early morning low predicted for the next 7 days is 47*.  Looks like the next couple of days here in So. CT will be in the 80's. Yea! My figs are out for good no matter what happens with the weather.

thanks for the replies there not used to the sun, the leaves are a little on the yellow side, thats why I wanted to get them out of storage as soon as possible I am going to leave them in my driveway for a while, on one side I have the fence and the other side the house and have a maple tree over the top, so they shouldn't get too much direst sunlight, this is the first year the buds broke and figs started growing weeks ago , we will see what happens thanks again Dave

I'd also keep them in the shade until they become acclimated. I have a few young ones I cooked in direct sunlight but now are much happier in the shade.

Absolutely shade them unless it is cloudy.
