Is it too late for feeding

I'm in GA 8a and some of my 1st year babies are looking a little pale. Is it too late in the season to feed them iron, or ...?
 Thanks for any advice.

Soni, I stopped feeding mine the last of August. I don't want new growth now with the first frost about four weeks from now.

Thanks Mike. 4 weeks from now?   [image]   WOW.  Id better get my act together.

I stop September 15th in zone 9.

I would not feed any more nitrogen as it can lead to soft growth in the fall.  Phosphorus, potassium and iron shouldn't be a problem, but don't go crazy with them.

Can someone explain the difference in Feeding and Fertilizing to me?
Because I read a quazi-article, I don't remember where, that was saying there is a huge difference between the two. TIA.

Sorry I am using the terms interchangeably.

Let me guess ...
Fertlizing/ feeding is for living plants.
Feeding is for other living souls...

If food is that which provides sustenance and energy, then plant food is sunlight.  They create their own calories.  It's called photosynthesis.  In my opinion any plant fertilizer should more appropriately called a vitamin.

well put, rob.

Good grief,  the term plant "food" when used for "fertilizer" is no less correct or overly simplified than is "vitamin"   tsk, tsk, tsk.  and I know how to spell photosynthesis too. [image]

giggle.
