In the Durio Nursery web page, they have cited Khurtmani variant as Brunswick. I look at the pic's Jon has in "varieties" and they do appear similar. Thus, I would be glad to find out. Incidently it was mentioned that Khurtmani is suppose to be one of the best figs from Israel. Over in Israel, the Brunswick is reported to do very well.

Ira Condit lists "Khurtmani" as a synonym for "Brunswick" (p. 417) and for "Mwazi" (p. 419) in his 1955 Hilgardia publication "Fig Varieties: A Monograph" which is available as a PDF download from my website.  Condit lists "Mwazi" as growing in Palestine.  For actual identification purposes, it would help to see leaf photos as "Brunswick" has a fairly distinct leaf form.

They haven't seemed identical, but are definitely similar.

I will give this variant a try. I was told by a collector who have both variants that his Khurtmani ripens later than his Brunswick and the interior color is different. Thanks to all for helping with  info.

It did impress one fig-taster who happened to visit when it was ripening this season. It was not early, but more in middle to late-middle season this year- first/second week of September.
