Is there a difference between the Beale and the Beall OC?

I am a little confused on the one. Are they the same, similiar, totally different? I didn't see the beale listed in the variety section. The variety section mentions that Beall is a seedling discovered in the 20's. Is it a common fig? I am hoping it will set fruit for me down here in FL.

The Beale is from be FN collection. See this thread. But the pictures are poseted under the spelling Beall. The owner of the collection spells it Beale. Beall OC has not fruited, but may be the same, or different. There are pix of "5-1" which is probably a Brown Turkey, but some of the Beall descriptions are pretty close to BT. Also pix of the accession at USDA/UC Davis which are presumed to be caprified, and may explain considerably different appearance. Welcome to figs and "Good Luck".

So, on to a related question:  I've seen some folks with a cutting "Bella", which I assumed was "Beall".  I understand "Bella" is Italian for "Beautiful", so maybe it is a unique variety.

So...

Beale
Beall
Bella

All different?

Well, I am not sure if I am more or less confused now, but thanks for the info.

There are a lot of spelling variations for figs.  But Bella isn't one of them.  It's an heirloom fig.
