Is there a master list of synonyms online?

Was just reading thru the LSU pdf that someone posted the other day & couldn't help being really curious about all the synonyms that are out there.

Recently got a Blue Celeste from someone, & the pdf states that it is a synonym for Celeste.

I'm curious if someone knows of a master list somewhere.  A search of the archives didn't pull up anything comprehensive here.

As close as it gets: Here.

I have not found one but it would be failry worthless IMO since there is the persistent problem of improperly named/re-named varieties all around the world. Seems that even when the identity of the fig known, growers will give it their own name for different reasons (including vanity) so that the list of synonyms becomes endless and pointless. Jon (the moderator) has synonyms for many of the figs. According to him, he listed the synonym not because he agreed with it, but because that is how it was labeled/named by a source. That is probably as close as you will find to a "master list". Here is his link: http://figs4fun.com/Varieties_B_frameset.html . Hope it helps!

EDIT: Lest I forget, have you checked out the manual by the god-father of fig research, Ira Condit? He also lists synonyms. You will find them bewildering!
