Is this a Celeste or Brown Turkey?

(Hope these pix post--haven't posted pix here before)

Ok, experts--what kind of tree do I have here?  Also, based on the size of this fig, will figs ripen within the next 12 days?  I'm leaving for vacation and can't decide whether to net it before I go or wait until I get home.  I can't remember when they ripened in years past as I've only become a fig fanatic this year.

If it's between celeste and brown turkey I would say it's celeste. Around my neck of the woods (zone 7) I wouldn't count on it ripening in the next 12 days.

Not liking either choice.

Wow, really Jon?  I bought it at a nursery that doesn't sell anything exotic.  What else might it be.  Will it help with the id to post pix when the figs ripen if I get any before the birds?

The fruit looks a little Celeste-ish, but the leaves do not look like Celeste. The leaves could be BT, but the fruit doesn't look like it at this point. Yes, ripe fruit are a much better way to identify figs, though not foolproof by any means.

Both my brown turkey and all of the Celeste around here have pink eyes.  Celese usually doesn't get larger than a half dollar when fully ripe, but a lot of ours are about the size of a quarter.

The leaf looks like it could be any of a number of Celeste around here, but Brown Turkey is similar generally in my yard - neither has a very striking or distinct leaf.  Thye leaves look a LOt like my couple of Conadria also.

I could show you just how incredibly varied Brown Turkey leaves are.  I have some that are the size of 4 adult hands, and others that are regular sized.
