IMO the color inside is a little off but it could be the lighting/camera but it does resemble the black mission fig but I could be wrong wait to hear from the pros to get a definite ID.

It does resemble the Black Mission or in that family of figs.

When I was trying to ID a tree of ours and posted pictures here, it was pointed out that one sign of the Black Mission is "red/pink" on the buds and leaf stems.
Encanto Jon says: " Black Missions tend to have some pinkishness in the stems. "
Your leaf stem looks pink so that may be a good clue! That picture of the inside seems too "amber" though(?)
How does it taste? :)

Yes

from the leaf shape , it resembles Negrone fig.

The interior amber color, size and fig shape will vary depending on how ripe , water content, sun exposure , growers pruning technique, and fertilzer these all play a part on the fig and the leaves etc.

Here is mission fig interior no longer in yard and at times there was more amber color mixed in on the interior and more dominant red on others during same season.
Tree was eventually discarded but a excellent producer.

Leaves look good, interior a little light, but some variants are that way/

He's also in a very warm and humid location so that may also account for some variation over time.

Dieseler,
Did you got hit by the light side ?
Your dark side reputation just took a big hit !
As for the black mission question, I have no fig by that name here ...

JD  huh ?

It looks like one.

"He's also in a very warm and humid location so that may also account for some variation over time."

Humid is the understatement of the year. Alabama is humid. Thailand is Tropical. I imagine a lot of color gets washed out in the 45+ inches of rainfall between May and October. I'm surprised Black Mission isn't a green fig in those parts.
