Is this an Italian Honey Fig tree?

Hello All,

This tree was purchased a couple of months ago from "Petals from the Past" - sold as an Italian Honey Fig in a 1/2 gallon pot.  I re-potted and is progressing very nicely.

No fruit yet, too immature.

I'm having a hard time definitely identifying this as an Italian Honey based on foliage - can I get some input please?

Thank you,
Joe

Joe,  It doesn't look like the leaves of the Italian Honey I got from Paradise last year.  But the leaves do look like an Italian fig from Caserta that is supposed to be a small white, one crop fig that is very good.  I've just been calling it Caserta.  It's very vigorous, but didn't fruit last year.  It has figs on it now and is supposed to ripen in September around here (Rhode Island).

When I ordered the tree, this is the list of fig trees they had available.  I'm familiar with the Brown Turkey and Celeste characteristics, does it resemble any of the others? (maybe got mix up in packaging)

Joe, I printed off your fig leaf and took it out to my fig orchard to compare the leaf to my fig trees.  I believe your fig leaf is a Brunswick.  I have all the the fig trees on the list you mentioned and none of the leaves look them look like your fig leaf.

Vern

None of those varieties has a leaf like yours.
