I bought this fig tree that was labeled as an Adriatic fig. However, the fruit does not look like any Adriatic pictures I have seen. Can anyone tell me if this is an Adriatic fig or not? The flavor is very strong and if they are not overly ripe they have a terrible bitter taste that I have not tasted in other fig types. Even when they are fully ripe there is still a bit of a bitter tone along with the sweetness. If this is not an Adriatic fig and you think you might be able to ID it, all guesses are welcome.
