Is this Barnissotte?

I ordered the scion from UC Davis in 09.  It was DFIC0069 with the spelling Barnissotte.  It looks different from the pictures in another discussion Nero and Barnissote

Here are the two that I have.  One is obviously stronger than the other.  Here are the two leaf patterns so far.

The second pix is UCD Specimen, for sure.
The first can be too,the third is a little different, but still close to Burnisotte leaf.
Second pix ,yes,no doubt about it

Your plants look very similar to the ones Snaglpus photographed at UCD and also match Condit's description.

Thanks Herman and Ruben.  Although the larger one does not show sign of FMV in the leaves it has to be the slowest growing fig I have.  I have a new found interest in this fig since reading last year that some thought it was equal to the Black Madeira fig in taste.

I've got a cpl of strains growing also. I'm sure UCD's is correct/true. Not so sure about the other one. Good luck!

The leaves on the larger plant look similar to the UC Davis Barnissotte that I have.  Here is a typical leaf from my tree.  This photo is from today.  Mine is showing FMV much more than yours.  Yours looks nice and healthy.  I have found that this variety is very fragile when young.  This will be the first year that my tree is big enough to ripen fruit.  I can't wait.

Say Joe....are you going to UCD this year?

Does that outside edge wavy pattern on the leaf become more pronounced as the fig tree gets older because mine aren't that big?  This cutting was started in 2010.

Hi Dennis,

I don't have plans to visit UCDavis but you never know.  When are people going this year?

Tmc2009,
My cutting was started in 2010 also.  Almost all of my trees have a jagged edge to the leaves.  I think it is a response to the high heat and low humidity here in AZ.  The temps have been up in the 90's for us already.  When I grew figs in Massachusetts the leaf edges were smoother, more like in your photos.
