Blanc is a white Fig from the reviews and reports I've read....That doesnt look like a White Fig to me...

Also Col De Dame translates into a Womans neck which is labeled due to the slender neck of the Fig which is present in Grise, Noir, and Blanc....Then again I'm just a fig noob that researches every thing on this forum and other websites for info.

You have a Genoa black aka,California Brown Turkey there, not Col de Dame.

Its the old BT. I feel your pain. I bought some bt cuttings that were supposed to be vdb. Badtards!! Lol.

The fruit and the leaves look like Brown Turkey, Feel your pain in not recieving a Col de Dame Blanc.

OMGWT.. my CdDB is BT.
Thank you for your attentive.
But I wonder why I growing it under extremely sun but the skin is not dark as it be?
Here is the fruit interior I just chop it in half.
Anyone still think it's BT?

Well I think it's a very very special fig. Thanks for sharing ficusso!

Really? Thank you ChrisK.
Its taste not impressive, sweet, hope better next season.

Well even if it is not what it's supposed to be,it looks great. California BT ,usually, has a big cavity in the center so there's still a good chance you have a different fig. Like you said, give it some time. Patience pays big on the fig world!

Yes,looking inside it is not BT,it is Longue D'Aout!
A very good fig tree.

Liza from edengrovenursery on eBay carries CdDB and offers trees for auction from time to time. She has a 100% satisfaction rating. Perhaps if you email her she will put one up for auction for you. They're a little expensive, but since you're not in the US, you probably would not have a problem importing it. I think the nursery she ships from is located in New Zealand, which isn't that far away.

It is amazing how similar this fig is to Niagara Black and Melanzana long.

Is LdA the same fig as Melanzana long which is grown throughout Calabria?

Pino:My opinion,is yes,it is.
However the health of a said specimen can be more or less perfect so ,they can be different as ,to the  productivity, time of ripening and size of fruits.
If you got a healthy tree ,of this type, then you got it if you got a diseased specimen, try to find a healthy because especially in cold climates like Canada, the cultivar has to be healthy to produce ripe fruits in short season.

Yes you can,but you must use the best possible Winter protection.
My trees are damaged, badly during last cold Winter despite Winter protection.
I used dry leaves ,it worked but not enough.
Of course there is room for improvement,If i want to do more.
