Is this Italian Honey?

I bought this fig 2 years ago.  It was supposed to be Desert King.  But it is ripening its main crop and they come out looking like this.  Could this be Italian Honey?  The nursery I bought it from sold Italian Honey at the time.  Italian Honey is also called Lattarula.

This fig is sweet, but I consider its flavor below average.

It is not Italian Honey.
It is very similar to what my Desert king is having ripe at this point.
Yellow figs, inside and outside with little flavor.
Consistent with Desert King main crop, that were persisting, instead to Fall off.

It is not like Lattarula either (Italian Honey is considered synonym for Lattarula).

Herman and Ottawan,

Thanks for the feedback.  This is good news.  Hopefully I'll get a good crop of Desert King figs next spring.

I think you have Normans Yellow. It's suppose to be the same type of tree as Desert King, except it is yellow. You only get a breba crop unless you have the fig wasp for second crop.....just like Desert King.

bump.

VS, is your Desert King really that yellow when ripe?

Dennis,

I got a good crop of breba figs from that tree this year.  They were still yellow, though most of them were larger than the one in the picture above.  Some of them were pink on the inside, but most of them were still yellow inside.  Is color the only difference between DK and Norman's Yellow?  This tree drops most but not all of its main crop.  The main crop figs that it keeps are not as good in quality as the breba figs.

Hello Joe!  Yes, Tim in Texas posted a few pictures a few years back on Normans Yellow.  It's a San Peidro type just like DK.  The only difference is the figs are yellow when ripe.  I've been informed to let my DK remain on the tre longer and it will turn yellow.  I'll try that next year.  But to solve the mystery, last year I bought 4 each of DK and NY from Rolling River.  I have all 4 sitting side by side.  I will judge them for myself next year.  However, my in ground Dk only produces green figs that are dark red inside.  They are excellent.  The 8 trees in my test will be in containers, same exact solve, water and such.  I'm just surprised to hear several folks here have yellow DK figs!  I think what you guys have are NY and not DK.  The mystery continues but next year the jury will be out!  In the past 2 years of visiting UCD, their DK fig is called King and the figs are totally green and red inside.  Figs are a mystery fruit!  I guess that's why some folks call their King fig White King.
