Is this Maltese Falcon?

Got this from a reliable source but all of the 20 or so figs on it shriveled up and fell off, just like a fig that needs wasp pollination.  Really bummed if it's not since I waited 2 years to get this far.

Leaves look like Maltese Falcon, but my tree here kept all fruits starting in the second year,I kept it one year in pot,and did not make any fruits and second year in Spring ,I planted it in ground, and it gave me a few ripe fruits in the Fall.
Here it is at the time.

Hello ED and Vasile, I have this tree in pot, its first year. Will it hold up in ground thru winter here in Northeast(NJ,NY). My plan is to plant in ground next spring and make an air layer as to have a back up tree if it fails in ground.

Thanks Herman.  What concerns me is that it did have lots of fruit but every single one got to almost golf ball size and then just dried up and fell off.

Luke I do not know if it will make in ground without Winter protection.
I protected mine, with a plywood box, filled with dry leaves, and yes it was alive and well this last Spring.
Next Winter it will be without protection, now that is 5 years + old,and then I can say,if it can make it or not ,by itself .

Vasile, I had to take a double take on your pic. When I first looked at it, I thought I was looking at a dead rat. When I look again, I see 3 air layers. Good work.

LOL Luke, I see the rat too!! It's tail is the stem coming from the tree and it looks like a stray stick is a leg, Funny! Actually a nice looking tree as are all of Herman's trees.
