I'm sure that many of you experienced growers already know this, but I thought I'd share my experience for the noobs like me. When I started my cuttings back in February, I had several that just didn't make it. I had tossed them aside and sort of forgot about them. When I was cleaning out my potting area this weekend, I found a twig that had been sitting in a cup with some perlite. It had not been watered for at least a couple months. It had two leaves on it!!!
I'm not sure what lesson should be learned from this. If I had thought there was any hope for that little shriveled up twig, I would have continued to care for it. Maybe it was the neglect that it needed. I guess the bottom line is that even if it looks dead, it might not be dead.
