It may be a little late but

It may be a little late, but I would like to thank all the members who sent cuttings or bare rooted plants. I thought you would like to see some Pic. of what has been going on. I started them in Dec.

The first was a bare rooted Desert King from OR.

The next were 5 cuttings of Strawberry Verde from WI.all took gave 1 away

4 cutting of Brumswick from FL. all started but one did not make it after re potting. Also gave 1 away. I do not need you to air-layer me one, but thanks.

2 cuttings each Black Greek unk , Armenian, Sal,s EL from OH. all took but 1 Sal,s gave one Armenian way.

My good buddy in NJ gave me cuttings of ,  Sal,s Corleone,Parideso Nergo, Parideso Verde, Genos Black, and Sicilian Black. I got 3 or 4 of all in 4 " pots now. I had trouble with Parideso Nergo only got one to root.

I have a good start this years. I gave 9 to my nephew, and 9 to a real good friend, who in return gave me 11 cuttings that he got from U C Daves. So far I have Marabout, Panachee, and Tena in 4" pots.

Thanks to the all the members of the forum I am sooooo  hooked on figs. It fills up all the time in the long cold winter months. And I just love it.

Now I have to find some spot to store them this winter.

Thanks to all the though full members of this forum.

Good photographs and your plants look real healthy you definitely have a green thumb...

Thanks for the pics!

Your cuttings are about 2 months ahead of mine. If all goes well, nice to see what my fig babies might look like in the coming months. :)

Thanks for sharing.

What is that little spot/area in the last pic? It looks perfect for the job. They look great.

Nice!  I think they want more sun!  (slowly)

Great pics nice job.

Brent, what you were looking at is my cold frames. One has the cuttings in and the other has the potted plants. They measure 29" x 52" on the outside. 42" deep and 2' is buried into the ground. With 2" foam.

rcantor, the plant have been in the cold frame since the middle of March, I took the shade cloth off the 1st of April, but the glass is still white washed . On sunny days I open the glass all the way ,for an hour or so, to get the plant used to the sun. On days when the suns not hot I leave it open all day.

I takes time and you have to be very patient, and not to over water.
