Italian 258

Saw one of these go for $1550 on eBay this past weekend! What is so special about this fig?

I've heard that once the tree is mature enough, every single leaf turns into $100 bills. LOL

Its been getting great reviews lately, and so this maybe the hot fig for 2014. From reading past comments, this is a great flavored fig.  On Ebay auction, it can just get into a competition thing. Also some people have lots of money to spend.

It is easily in the top 3 for me! And, I have some excellent ones to compare it to. I become speechless whenever I eat it.

There is one that is just as good that most are not aware of yet: Italian 395

All the same, congrats Ryan. Hope you were paid!

How close is the flavor to Preto?  I've asked another member, but curious to hear what you think since you're in a warmer climate.

any fig can be great if in really hot climate... some get really good even with cooler climate... it all depends what works for you. In LA every fig is a bit from heavens...and that's the truth.
