I have about 6 different variety of italian figs from the old country. This summer or fall i should have some to trade. I am interested in some blackberry plants if you have some i would like to trade. I don't know the names of the figs i know the dialect names we call them but probably wont matter. I live in Kentucky and i would be glad to correspond with anybody. thanks, Mario.

Good morning Mario, I remember you posting pictures of some of your figs and they look great. I don't have any blackberries to trade but come this fall I might like to work out something out with you for some cuttings. If you can't find anyone with berries to trade perhaps you could sell a few cutting to cover the cost of buying the berries. Please post some pictures of the figs when they ripen.

Mario, I am very interested in cuttings from your plants. I can trade some thornless Chester blackberries, if you are interested. I think I also have some golden raspberries.

Hi Mario, Do you know what part of Italy the trees come from? Keep me in mind I am interested and I have some blackberries and raspberry plants that I could dig up to trade with you.

Lou these trees are from molise region of Italy my parents still live there and i have a brother and sister still there. Next time i go there i will take some pictures of some giant fig trees. The figs i have are large and sweet only one is small variety and it is the sweetest of all. some are black some green some yellow. Keep in touch i will post again in fall with some cutting. I don't mind giving some away as long as i can get something back in fruit or bamboo.

@Mario...I am in KY also, and would love anything fig (actually would be thrilled to get my hands on kiwi, plum or pear). I can send elderberry, unknown red raspberry variety, or some triple crown blackberry.  Depending on where you live, perhaps we could meet-n-greet sometime.  Just let me know.

Hey Mario. Good to see you posting again. I knew there would be some folks here that would be interested in your Italian fig trees.

You still have the three varieties of bamboo coming to you from me that I owe you. Sorry about the delay but I will get them out to you soon.

By the way Mario, I sent you a PM.

Were you the one with the "salce" figs.  If so, I have got to trade with you.  I will buy you some blackberry canes as I have none myself.  Otherwise, I have 3 kinds of pomegranates, 3 kinds of mulberries (White Hunza seedless, Pakistan and Shangri la), yard long seeds, passiflora frederick, passiflora incense, Rosa Blanca eggplants, guavas: cream, rare purple and strawberry.   Figs I have are panache, strawberry verte, corky's honey delight.  May have more fig varieties as others are growing right now.

You are right.  This is an old thread, and not willing to sell my soul.  OMG!  Trying to get rid of a huge estate on Ebay, and this woman bid, didn't pay, so I told her Pay up or Shut up.  She paid!  Now I have to go to the post office and mail the things!

Still, don't we all want some of these old country Italian Figs?

I have grapes: Muscat of Alexandria.  How's that for a name.   Can't say it grows because I just started the cuttings.   Also have Psevthorsirico besides what I mentioned before.  Got shishito peppers.   Those are really good this year.  Pomegranates: Eversweet, Pink Sweet, and Wonderful.   How about some pumpkin bread or chocolate chip cookies.

Actually, you're in luck !,
I have all 3 table grapes growing in 1 gallon pots right now.
I can send you the rooted parents, and keep the cuttings from of them for myself Since,
I'd have to clip them back anyway to ship them.
They're vigorous growers.
PM me if you're interested in trading?
