Italian Honey

I'm guessing there are more than one cultivar of Italian honey. This one was very large. It was excellent tasting, sweet and juicy.

Bass, was that one from me?

Ed,
this is from you, but now I wonder if it's the real Italian Honey. All the others i've seen seem to be smaller than this one.

I have been saying that its not IH but Latarulla but what do I know? I am going by what my Italian source said and believe I have Ira Condits book as proof.

Hey EJP,
Isn't your Latturula supposed to be more red than Bass's?I have an Italian Honey from Monrovia it has over 200 fig's on it and not one will ripe for me.The breba does fine but the second crop not sure what happened this is the 2nd yr it did it to me.I pull it up at the right time it comes out in April not sure what's wrong.Hey Bass how is your Latturula EJP sold you is it productive? My Latturula from EJP is a very slow grower.Thank's guy's and God Bless.
Robert

Bass,
My Italian Honey has a very pale interior. It is also large, sweet, juicy and a very good fig flavor. The interior is not as red as yours. It produces 2 crops but this year the rain destroyed the breba crop on all my trees.

Peg

This is the first time it bears for me, it's in a container.
So it's not an Italian Honey, you think it's Lattarula?
I ripened around the same time as my Lynhurst white and looked very similar in size but the interior of lynhurst white was more pink.
