Italian Honey AKA

All of these AKA names are splitting my head!  Please will someone confirm or otherwise that the Italian Honey is the same as Latturula, Florentine, lemon, AND the Marselles?

While I'm asking, is the Magnolia the same as the Brunswick?
Whew!
Thankyou for any help,
Sarah

not sure about marselles but pritty sure on the others. look at this.    http://figs4fun.com/Varieties.html

OH Sarah, Sarah, Sarah............Welcome to the crazy world of fig names  LOL LOL LOL   Isn't it maddening?

You can add St Anthony's and Doce from Madeira Island.  To me they are not Exact but close enough that only one is needed. I even have an unknown from Azores that fits the profile. The ribs and pale , seeded interior are good indicators of this variety.  I am sure one strain is superior to the others.  St Anthony's is a good one.  A bit earlier than my others.  To me the interior is the dead give away. There are a few white figs from Portugal and the Middle East that fit the profile as well.

See, Dominick cleared it right up Sarah. No problem. :-) LOL

Yea, the whole synonym thing is kind of a mess. It seems you just have to sort them all out in your own garden in due time. Pick the ones you like best and give the others a new home.

I know I have several similar varieties like this. Eventually some will "go out to pasture", some I'll give away, while some will serve as root stock, etc.

Oh my goodness! This will certainly do a number on my record keeping and the simplicity of the whole!  Thank you very much for clearing it all up for me, Dominick, lol.  It's all clear now.
