Pete I wish I only had that many it would make life so much easier. It is now taking me about an hour to 1.5 hrs to water my plants. Heres some of mine.

Very nice collection Pete!

nelson,

they are some nice looking trees. mine are mostly in 1 gal pots. they are still easy to handle. my older trees are in the back deck getting full day's sun. still i only have 1 grown trees. i can't wait till i get to try the new figs.

It can be very dry here and this time of year I have to water often. Something that works well is to keep a plant that uses a lot of water on a saucer so some moisture will remain available that the plant can use as the day progresses. Since yours are in gallons and you probably don't want too much standing water, something like a plate or pie pan should work.

You both have very nice collections of figs. :)

Thanks Pete, Your plants look great in no time they will be producing for you. Nothing like eating fresh figs from your tree, or someone elses lol.

wow Nelson, that is a lot of trees, I have only 3 with 2 very small, but I can see how this hobby can accumulate as things grow and new varieties are obtained.

John

Pete,

The planting medium in your pots is level with the rim. Maximizing growing space! I'd wash a half inch out of any of my pots the first time I watered. You must use an eye dropper, so maybe Nelson has nothing on you in the time spent watering department.

They are outstanding young fig trees.

Gee, can I spell E-N-V-Y!?! :)
LOL! And then I look at my one gallon pot with a small Chicago Hardy in it!
And shake my head in shame! LOL
Congrat's! What beautiful collections you guys have!
I hope to have one equally as nice someday!
Thank for sharing your pics of them!

Hey Nelson,

Looking good, those purple tags look familiar.
Next time I see you I will give you a box or two of those aluminum tags.
They are double sided so you can put info on one side and name on the other.

Did someone say....crowded????

This is only half of them.  And these are in 25gal containers!

Hi Dennis

I'm a way to old to care for that bunch of figs. Beautiful though.

Dang young whippersnappers...Joking of coarse

Cecil, I had to stand in the road to get all my girls in the pic.  I got about 30 more to add to this picture.

Ya got it going on!

Lookin good.

I just got done watering and talking to the babies..

55 large pots 5 gal to 25 gal
42 1 gal babies
11 in ground trees.

45 different varieties.
