I really wanted this to be a good example of what this tree could eventually produce. Unfortunately mother nature got into it during the ripening stage. It still was good though. We had two days of rain and it watered it down just a little. It did not split. It still had very good flavor with a jelly like melon flavor. No seed crunch. It is a large fig, coming in at 66.19G or 2.335 oz. I would still give this fig an 8 based on no splitting and its potential.
Looks like gold. Thanks for sharing info.
Looking at the eye it is amazing it didn't split. Sounds like another good one though and as always Mike thanks for sharing.
Mike, That looks like a promising fig. You are way ahead of me. Mine isn't even close to being ripe.
I had the second of these this season and it was not watered down. It is very difficult to describe the flavor of this fig. It hasa very jammy texture and I initially described it as melon flavors but I have to retract that and say I really don't know whatit resembles. It is just different. I will hold on to it for a while to see how it progresses.
Okaaay, enough people are happy with this fig that I am officially interested! Hmph!
