Jack's Quarter Pounder

I got this tree from Alexsis (Landscape witch) 2 years ago at Noss's Fig Gathering in Lafayette, Louisiana.  It has been kept in a pot and this is the first crop.  It has been said that the Quarter Pounder is a sport or a mutant from a Brunswick/Magnolia, which some have called a "Super Brunswick"  I don't think so, this fig looks nothing like a Brunswick in any department except the size, the larger one shown here was just over 70 grams.  The leaf looks like a Celeste as does the trunk bark.  The taste is somewhat watery and definitely not of the same caliber as a good Celeste or, for that matter, a good Southern Brown Turkey.

Is it a keeper?, of course! All figs are welcome at this asylum!, I have plenty of room now and no fig shall be turned away!

Haven't heard from or seen Alexsis for a long time, but I have a nice token of her existence, and she is remembered well, and every time I water the tree.

Glad to be here!, glad you are here!

Nice fig Danny..........waiting to put mine in the ground this fall

Nice looking fig.

I will always remember Alexis... Not to sound like she's dead or anything, just probably busy with life.  That does happen.  I have her Adriatic, and they are starting to ripen.  Can not wait!!  Alexis is gold in my book!!
