JH Adriatic Breba
Picked 7-5-13 Perfectly ripe.
9.5 out of 10 for taste/quality
Very sweet very very rich flavor -- watermelon/strawberry with a long lingering after taste -- excellent and a bit surprising, but it is the JH Adriatic after all.

I'd always been told the brebas were not worth keeping and joked just a week ago how stupid it was for me to allow the tree to waste energy on these worthless figs. I was certainly surprised.

How far along are the main crop figs? When will they start to ripen?

Pete -- they were very late last year and are quite small right now. Everything is behind because of the weather anyway. I made an extra 3 of these trees for my collection as this is one darn good fig. I have a 3 and a 2 year old currently but expect this variety to have a huge roll in my future plans. And it turns out the brebas are good!!

Yes,I had a couple of Breba ripe last year from JH,and agree they are superior against most others.
This year My JH Breba are not ripe yet,due to cool Spring.
Main crop is also delicious,here in NJ,tho is a Middle to late season ripening variety.
