Joe Dark?

Been watching this one for the past week.  It kept drooping more and more and getting soft, but wouldn't darken.  Is this one you just have to leave it on the tree a long time?  or is it not really a Joe Dark?

This pic was from a few days ago.  It was drooping much more by the time I picked it.

I
like the nice tightly closed eye on this one.  But the taste was very weak and not sweet at all.  The family didn't like it.  Maybe will be better next year.

James,
The Joe Dark from the Bronx, NYC is a dark fig.

This past spring I spoke with Joseph while he was at his Sister-in-law Rosemary's house helping to prune her fig trees. She happens to be Rosemary the owner of the Rose Dark and Rose light trees. The Joe Dark and Joe Italian Honey are the same cultivars respectively. The Joe Light is a Verte type with a green skin and red pulp and is not planted at Rosemary's house.
The cuttings may have been mislabeled because that looks like Joe Italian honey fig, If you PM me in the fall I should be able to get you some cuttings.

Joe dark and Rose dark are the same?

Bob C,
That's what I was told...

Thanks for the clarification, Pete..  I know these cuttings changed hands a few times before they got to me.. So I'm assuming they got mixed together at some point.. could have just been my own mix-up, though I'm very careful about labels..  I gave a "Joe Dark" to someone at work, so I'll see next year which one that turns out to be. :)
